We are looking for a cleaner/caretaker to cover Miss Kirsty Jones whilst she takes maternity leave.
This vacancy is advertised on Wrexham Council Website as follows:
Caretaker / Cleaner - Maternity Cover
20 hours per week
G04: £24,790 pro rata
The successful applicant will:
• Organise and clean the school interior to maintain a high standard of cleanliness in all classrooms, offices, toilets, hall and public areas.
• Outside cleaning of paintwork and windows.
• Ensure paths, playgrounds and gardens are swept and kept clear of debris and litter.
• Ensure gritting as appropriate to walkways in icy conditions.
• Ensure waste collection is adhered to.
• Be responsible for maintaining cleaning equipment and checking stock as necessary through the school administrator.
• Carry out general maintenance, clearing gutters, interior painting, change lightbulbs, carry out light repairs etc
• Ensure that premises are opened no later than 7:30am and secured at the end of the day.
• Carry out routine fire safety checks, keep records of fire alarm testing.
• Be available during the school holidays to do larger cleaning tasks / open premises if building maintenance is being carried out. (4 weeks holiday pro rata may be taken during school holiday time)
• Participate in relevant training, e.g Fire Marshall, Legionella, COSHH, working at heights etc.
• Be a Key holder to the premises and answer out of hours emergency call outs.
